Do your beds meet all Federal safety requirements?
Absolutely! All of our bunkbeds meet and/or exceed the latest standards from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). You can be sure that when you buy a bed from Bunk Beds Etc it is a safe and sturdy bed. For more Safety info click here.
What kind of wood are your beds made from?
All of our beds are constructed from #1 grade kiln-dried solid southern yellow pine. Southern yellow pine is harder than many hard woods, quite heavy and holds fasteners well.

Do your beds accept normal size mattresses?
Our bunkbeds are designed to hold standard twin, twin extra long or full mattresses. Our trundle beds take either twin or twin extra long mattresses. We build our beds in custom sizes as well- call or write for more information.
Mattress thickness recommendations vary with the model of bed. Our Premium Bunk beds normally allow up to 10 1/2" thick mattress and bunkie board combined. Our Premium bunk beds can be customized for you to allow up to 15".
How much assembly is required?
About 15-45 minutes of assembly is all that is usually required for twin bunk beds- fulls and queens have more parts and longer assembly times.
The end units and rails come pre-assembled and all holes drilled. All that is required is a phillips screwdriver and the supplied 7mm allen wrench. Complete assembly instructions are provided with your bunk bed and are also available online anytime.
